    • Description

Vienna. 1907. The Most Famous Kiss in Art History.

By 1907, Gustav Klimt had already transformed Viennese art.
He had founded the Vienna Secession, designed a ceiling so controversial the government rejected it,
and developed a style so unlike anything before him that critics invented a new phrase to describe it — the Golden Style.

The Kiss was painted in the final years of that golden period.
A man and a woman, kneeling at the edge of a flower meadow, wrapped in a single golden robe.
His face is buried in her hair. Her eyes are closed.
Her cheek tilts toward him with an expression that contains everything — surrender, peace, desire, safety.

The robes are a study in contrast.
His: rectangular geometric shapes in black, white, and grey — angular and structured.
Hers: soft circular flowers in pastel colours — fluid and decorative.
Two people. Two natures. One embrace.

Klimt painted it with real gold leaf on the canvas.
He believed love deserved the finest materials available.
Looking at it more than a century later, it is difficult to argue with him.

      The Design
The Kiss printed in full painterly detail on a jet black ground — the rich gold robes, the jewel-toned floral meadow at the base, the figures rendered in Klimt's unmistakable decorative style with every pattern intact. THE KISS in large gold serif capitals below the image. Gustav Klimt in clean spaced lettering beneath it. The most iconic painting of the Klimt golden era, worn without compromise.

      The Fit
Unisex relaxed fit — comfortable for all body types. Wear oversized or true to size.

      The Fabric
100% pure breathable cotton — soft, lightweight, colourfast and durable through repeated washes.
